After getting off the transport, you arrive in Krestle Arc, a city on the outside of Krestle Nova. Hoping to find a way into Krestle Nova, you must first find a place to stay for the night. As you walk around the city, you meet a cast of characters who might point you in the right direction. Spend some time to get to know the people around you, go on some adventures, and explore the city, you have nowhere else to be.
Colony 7 is one of the largest space colonies in recent memory created after the colonial expanse operation began in the Earth year 2105. With the overpopulation of Earth and some of the neighboring colonies, Colony 7 is heavily populated. Overcrowded and overused, the main workers of the colony live in sector 2, which makes up 95% of the colony. The other 5% houses the some of the wealthiest people to ever live. Sector 2 ranges from farming villages to busy, non-stop cities. Green hues paint the sky while the rain never seems to stop, except for the areas where it snows.
Krestle Arc, is just on the outside of Krestle Nova, one of the biggest cities on the colony. Krestle Nova is known for the Nexus Market, a large market that operates 24/7. In Krestle Nova, the prices are less than ideal, unless you know where to look. Anything and everything are on sale here, legal or illegal. The city is also known for the Nexus Spire. One of the tallest buildings in the Colony, connecting one side to the other. At the top of the building is the Nova Speed People Mover, transporting a hundred thousand people a day. The only way to get into Krestle Nova is to travel into one of the four children cities that surround the city, where travelers must be approved in order to pass along. Krestle Arc is on the South, the second largest of the four children cities. Krestle Arc is known as the Gateway of Dreams, a melting pot of cultures and languages. Its markets are vibrant and chaotic, but underneath lies desperation and despair. Each year, the Festival of Echelon is held, in which the townsfolk hold celebration for all those who have made it through, and to those still hoping to make it someday. At the entrance of Krestle Nova stands the Wall of Names, two massive walls that hold all the names of those who have made it into Krestle Nova. Being the second largest of the children cities, Krestle Arc is overcrowded. Krestle Arc has the smallest amount of occupiable space, most of the city is cramped and stacked on top of each other. Building materials are expensive and can explain the less than perfect conditions of each building.
The objective of this level is to find somewhere to stay during the night through talking to others. Exploration of the environment and engaging with characters in this world will help push the character in the right direction of the objective.
[If I were to continue to work on this project, this would be the core loop of each city. The player is given an open world to explore as they move through the space with no objectives other than finding a place to stay during the night. Whether this means the player pays for a place to stay during the night, or they find a host willing to provide them a place to crash. Interaction with other characters and building relationships helps to complete this goal even when the player moves on to visit other cities.]
Basic Movement – Forward, Backwards, Left, Right Movement (WASD).
Player interaction – Pressing E will activate objects in front of the player. EX. Doors can be opened by pressing E.

Bolted Doors – Doors that are completely shut. The player must find another way around.
NPC Crowds – The densely populated city is non-stop action. Crowds of townspeople fill the space during the day. These crowds are difficult to move through, better to find a way around them.
Locked Doors – Doors that are locked unless opened by someone with proper authorization, or through hacking.
Locked Elevators – Elevators that are locked unless opened by someone with proper authorization, or through hacking.
